Neo provided comprehensive electrical and control design for Fletcher Building’s OSB Plant project in Taupō. We ensured compliance with NZ standards and best practices, covered UPS, lighting, standby generators, earthing, MV/HV switchgear, motors, and more. Collaborating with HEG, we successfully delivered all electrical and automation works.

Neo completed the full electrical detailed design for the new plate settling process train into the Karapiro WTP to increase its production capacity. To minimise the existing plants operation, the new system was designed as independently as possible, consisting of all new switchboards, PLC and VSDs to support the equipment.

Neo provided specialized hazardous area construction support for a new LPG bottle refilling facility in Papakura, Auckland. This involved assistance with electrical contractor queries, construction standards review, hazardous area documentation review and coordination between trades.

Neo was commissioned by Fonterra to elevate power quality at their Waitoa UHT plant, addressing power dips that disrupted sterilisation processes. Our tasks encompassed site evaluation, collaborative interface design, resolving supply challenges, and delivering comprehensive electrical design and project management.

Neo undertook the electrical design of the new Cross Laminate Timber Plant for Red Stag Timber at their Waipa Mill in Rotorua. This included the installation of a new RMU, 2 new transformers, 2 low voltage power distribution centers, and associated high voltage and low voltage cabling.

Neo were responsible for the detailed design, construction support, and commissioning assistance for the new 3MLD water treatment plant in Warkworth. The design was high priority due to water shortages in the region and required the design delivery team to work closely alongside the installation contracting team.

Neo managed the design and upgrade of the MCC-1, MCC-2 and MCC-3 switchboards for Fonterra at their Morrinsville plant. These switchboards were identified as a health and safety risk and needed to be replaced with modern switchgear. Neo completed the load review and design, produced the tender documents, managed the tendering process and assisted the contractor during installation.

Neo undertook a control system and site condition audit on assets at 23 of Watercare’s regional treatment facilities. This involved assessing the condition of the control systems, reviewing obsolescence and estimating the replacement cost.

Neo managed and undertook the electrical and control system design for the upgrade of the Papakura Water Treatment Plant for Watercare. This involved a short-term solution of commissioning a temporary plant controlled by an outdoor switchboard and a long-term solution to develop an entirely new treatment plant with a new electrical switchroom. This project was completed as a collaborative engagement with client, consultants and contractors all working as a single team.

Neo assisted in the electrical design of the new Ormat Energy Converter geothermal power station at the Ngawha steam field, along with a corresponding fluid conveyance system for the collection and disposal of geothermal fluid. A CCTV system was also required to provide surveillance of the OEC4 platform and FCS wellpads.
